For over seven years, I have served as the primary technical partner for Luxe Watches. The challenge was not just to “build a website,” but to engineer a system that handles scaling inventory and sophisticated data needs.
01. The Exceptions
Luxe Watches had outgrown their infrastructure. Facing increased traffic and a need for automation, they encountered three critical bottlenecks:
- Legacy Infrastructure: Hosting crashed during high-traffic product drops.
- Fragmented Data: History was scattered across emails/Excel. No single source of truth.
- Manual Overload: Staff were manually typing invoices and stock updates.
02. The Architecture
1. Roots Stack Migration
We abandoned traditional hosting for a professional DevOps workflow using Roots Trellis and Bedrock.
By implementing Composer and Ansible, we ensured the codebase is secure and capable of zero-downtime deployments.
const stack = ["Trellis", "Bedrock", "Ansible"];
return stack.deploy({ downtime: "0ms" });
2. Zoho Ecosystem Integration
I engineered a deep integration using Zoho Flow as the central nervous system.
- Zoho CRM: Stores a complete 7-year history of client interactions.
- Zoho Inventory: Online sales trigger instant global stock adjustments.
- Zoho Books: Invoices generated automatically upon checkout.
3. Valuation API
To support the buying team, I developed a custom valuation tool. It connects to market data APIs to provide instant, data-backed estimates, drastically reducing time-to-quote.
03. System Output
This collaboration has resulted in a stable, automated digital ecosystem.
- Efficiency: Finance and Inventory are now fully automated.
- Stability: The Roots stack handles high-value transaction loads.
- Intelligence: The sales team now possesses a granular “Single Customer View.”
