Bespoke Development

Terms & Agreement

Last updated: 9 July 2026
By commissioning Bespoke Development work — one-off fixes, custom builds, integrations, or SEO rescue — you agree to the terms below. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you (“Client”) and Jamie Grand (“we”, “us”).

01. The Service

Scoped, quoted work

Bespoke Development covers work scoped and priced per job: quick fixes (CSS/layout, plugin debugging, speed and Core Web Vitals rescue, migrations), custom builds (plugins, Shopify Liquid, API/CRM integrations, calculators and booking forms), and technical SEO rescue.

The scope of each job is whatever the written quote says it is — nothing more is implied.

02. Quotes & Payment

Price agreed before work starts

  • Every job is priced in a written quote (hourly estimate or fixed price) before work starts
  • Quotes are valid for thirty (30) days from the date issued
  • Payment terms (deposit, staged payments, or on completion) are stated on each quote
  • Work outside the quoted scope is re-quoted in writing before it proceeds

We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to quoted prices.

03. Intellectual Property

You own what you paid for

On payment in full, ownership of the delivered work product — the code, assets, and deliverables created specifically for your job — transfers to you.

Pre-existing materials (our tools, libraries, snippets, and frameworks used to build the deliverable, and any third-party open-source components under their own licences) remain under their existing ownership; you receive a perpetual licence to use them as part of the deliverable.

04. Fix Warranty

30 days on delivered work

If something we delivered does not work as described in the quote, tell us within thirty (30) days of delivery and we will fix it at no charge. The warranty covers defects in our work, not changes made by others, plugin or platform updates after delivery, or new requirements.

05. No Guaranteed Results

Especially for SEO rescue

We use reasonable skill and care and follow current best practice. For SEO rescue and performance work, no guarantees are made regarding rankings, traffic, leads, or revenue — results depend on factors outside our control, including competition and search-engine algorithm changes.

06. Client Responsibilities

Access + lawful content

  • Provide timely access to required systems (hosting, CMS, repositories, third-party accounts)
  • Ensure content, data, and licences you supply are lawful and yours to use
  • Review and accept deliverables promptly; feedback windows are stated on the quote where relevant

Delays caused by missing access or information may affect delivery and quoted timescales.

07. Limitation of Liability

Capped at the job value

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, data, revenue, or business opportunity. Our total liability for any job is limited to the fees paid for that job.

08. Governing Law

England & Wales

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
